Will (Eric McCormack) is a successful, good-looking Manhattan lawyer with a great sense of humour and an even better sense of style. Grace (Debra Messing) is a slightly neurotic, self-employed interior designer with romantic tendencies. They're already best friends and roommates, they love each other and they'd be married by now if it weren't for one little thing. Will is gay. Add in Grace's caustic assistant, Karen (Megan Mullally) and Will's gay friend Jack (Sean Hayes), and you have a show in which half of the lead characters are queer! Will & Grace is a classic romantic comedy, except the lovers are kept apart not by distance, class, or other partners but by sexual orientation.
