Maximillion the Lion was the majestic ruler of a fabulous jungle empire - until a power-hungry hyena has him kidnapped by a band of hunters. But the plot to take over the kingdom is thwarted when Max`s meek, mild-mannered brother Irwin agrees to impersonate the missing monarch. At first, the masquerade works - and Irwin even finds time to fall head-over-tail for the beautiful princess Leonette. But then a tyrannical tiger and his elephant army attack the defenceless kingdom, and suddenly it`s up to Irwin to prove he`s king of the beasts!
